Papier Mache Sculpture
Capture your child in a watercolour or papier mache tableau for yourselves, a grandparent or parent and this will become a family heirloom. A portrait of a child as a youngster is just about the most unique gift you can give. The 3d effect of a tableau makes the present even more enchanting and special.
Clothing can be copied and the details can be replicated to any moment you remember or any place you want fantasy or real.
Often older people cannot see particularly well so these sculptures would appeal as the image is so much clearer.
Over the years I have found myself creating papier mache items for my own children and my friends. These pieces of papier mache have enhanced my children's' bedrooms & several of our friends' playrooms and are very artistic and tasteful compared to the expensive plastic toys most children own.
Victorian Style Silhouette
A beautiful alternative to a papier mache sculpture for a child portrait is a Victorian style silhouette.
Normally I will give you a sheet of instructions for the requirements of the photos to be supplied. If photos are provided, prices start at £35.00 for one silhouette in mount and a pair of different adults or children in a mount start at £62.00 for a double set. Photography is available if required but clients will need to go to Ham in Surrey to be photographed.
There will be a small extra charge for photography.
