"Honeymoon in Maldives"
This sums up, for many of us, our dream honeymoon. That bit of
luxury that we may only experience once in a lifetime.
|
|
"Hideaway in Maldives"
A typical Maldives holiday along with
beach hut, tropical fish and palm trees. This depicted a favourite bar the
couple frequented often. This commission is only
one of many Maldives sculptures. All original and each taken from personal photos. |

"Japan"
A honeymoon destination in Japan. The Japanese trees, rock pool
and building summed up the memories the couple hjad of their lovely holiday.
Photos from the stay provided details to choose from to incorporate separate
desired elements to make one design with many features. Often there is no one
photo which shows some favourite items. |
|
"Indian Adventure" This
elephant ride was the highlight of an amazing honeymoon.
Just imagine the joy to see this momentous occasion made
into a papier mache sculpture. |

"Pajandrum"
"Pajandrum" was inspired by an Indian Silk Cushion Cover.
I enjoyed doing the intricate Indian style paintwork on the blanket.
|
|
"Thailand" Two plane buffs were very keen
to show every detail of the plane they went on holiday in. The venue was a
beach holiday and they also wanted their own clothes closely represented.

"Soufflé"
Sailing in the Indian Ocean on a reach in a moonlight night.
The
spinnaker bends as if filled with a brisk wind and was copied accurately from
photos.

"Fish out of Water"
I based this on an Eastern theme, for a 50th wedding anniversary. Using gold ink
as found in Eastern manuscripts.
The man fishing is representative of simple, enchanting pleasures and
exudes peace and tranquillity. The papier mache reflects in the mirror behind. |
